UPDATE: Our server was awesome ! After telling her about what just happened she made sure that our meals came in a timely manner and made sure we had anything or needed anything . She frequently came to our table asking how we were doing and if our meals were okay . She made sure that she accommodated us for the wait that we had to endure .
Would have been 5 stars but it was so cold in there... Others were complaining as well. Bathroom felt like I was outside even. But our waitress was very friendly and outgoing and swift. Food was prepped very well. Timing was good with apps into entrees. Good variety or menu options and pricing. For sure will be back.
Service was great. Food is okay. They are following the current trend to spicy and are unwilling to modify any dish. Not helpful for those of us who can't tolerate highly spiced food and don't eat burgers. I shouldn't have to choose between wasting half my meal or ordering something else because the Mac and cheese is only served with spicy chicken. Not asking for (god forbid) a substitute, just a deletion, and they refused to do that - full price, you can leave the chicken on your plate!
My husband and I decided to come here for a nice dinner and were told that it will be a 20 minute wait . We have been waiting for ovet an hour and the hostess did not call our name. When asked when will we be called, she told us she had already called our name . When we checked our name was still at the top and not crossed off. She gave away our table and told us that we will be next . We waited as we saw 4 more names called being seated. Before my husband asked her again when we were gonna be seated . AFTER WE SAW TWO PEOPLE WHO CAME BEFORE US BEING SEATED. We were highly upset that the hostess still skipped us and made us wait even longer as we told her we have been waiting for over an hour to be seated .
The only reason I'm giving a 1 is because of our waitor, Wes. If I could give separate stars just for him, he would have a 5. I figured the 1 would be for him, and the rest of the empty stars goes to this Applebees, When we first walked in we were just standing there waiting for someone. It was completely dead we didn't know whether or not we should just seat ourselves. Finally Wes saw us and seated us immediately. As he was seating us I noticed the hostess finally walk by... Wes was super polite. He basically stares deep into our soul when he talks with his customers. He brought a soda refill without us asking and brought me a water refill too without me asking. He kept us very up to date on what our food status was the whole time. He was making sure we were having the best experience. I'm glad he was because: the wait to sit sucked. It was cold, something wrong with the heater, the food sucks. I remember my sangria tasting much better when I had it a year or two ago. Too much pepper on the beer cheese for pretzels. Applebees just needs to take the plunge and go out of business already. Oh, but make sure Wes is promoted to another position at another place first.
tasty food!! little pricey but worth it! if you go there and you like beef, here is the best place to try it!!! Beef steak ;)
