Very thin crust burnt black and tough. On a scale of 1- 10 I would give it a 3 . Don't bother .
I never write reviews for places but after a long day of work I decided to go to Abate's. I love there pizza but they lack in their customer service. Turns out they were closed at 8:30 on a Sunday but their open sign was still on. Totally understandable, what is not understandable is how 8 people are standing around the front counter chatting and not one greeted me nor said "sorry were closed". It's not that they didn't notice me as direct eye contact was made, it's just that they chose to ignore me and that is uunacceptable.
Very upset with my pizza tonight. The pizza was burnt and sopping with grease. Never Again!!!!!!
I ordered 2 pizzas for pickup, a sicilian pizza and a regular cheese pizza. When I got home the sicilian pizza had a big piece of what looked like saran wrap. It was baked inside of the pizza. Not only did it have the plastic but it also had hair on it. The regular cheese pizza was also cold. Granted I went back and got a refund for the sicilian pizza however, the person I spoke to did not seem very apologetic. She told me that she didn't know how long it took me to get home (referring to the regular pizza being cold). I'm visiting town and am right down the street. Explain how the sicilian was piping hot and the other one wasn't. This was my favorite pizza and now it's forever ruined.
Staff and service was friendly. Place needs a thorough cleaning and regular cleaning. There were cobwebs on the chairs and tables. The pizza was not the greatest but the salads were generously portioned and very fresh.
